Module 7

What do you feel has been the most useful thing you will take away from this course?
I have taken away the steps in how to plan a unit and the creativity my students will use.

Do you think you will plan units that follow a similar format to this one in the future?
I think so---- have a question what is the different between a web quest with a Problem question and a PBL?

What features from this type of curriculum design might you use again?
I love the newletter and power points to keep me on tract and the students.

This module has helped me think about self-directed learners and the role of differentiation in the following ways….
To be able to reach all learners by thinking of ways for them to produce a product. Using the mutliple intelligence and learning styles will help the all the learners create their best product. Having different activities for each learner is a great idea.

This module has helped me think about student-centered assessment in the following ways….
It has made me think of the creative ways to assess my students work and cut down on correcting papers. I have never thought about having my students create the rubric with me. That to me is a bit scary... I am going to try it because I do like living on the edge.

How can technology be used most effectively to support and assess student learning?

It is one way of having something permanent for others to view. To support their learning students can research using the web instead of looking through books and encyclopedias that for the lower grades can be written in langauge that students have a hard time understanding.

Module Three

This module has helped me think about the impact of the Internet on my students’ learning in the following ways…. Students today look for new ways to learn and to be creative. Internet learning for my students allows them to be creative by accessing information on many different subjects and many different authors. By taking the facts and reporting on them without paper and pencil. It also allows them to respond to questions and see the other students' responsives to the same question.

This module has helped me to think about using standards, CFQ's, or formative assessments in the following ways...
This module has helped me pull the different standards into making unit questions and then breaking those questions down to content questions. Some of the concerns from last week that I wrote about in my first blog were answered. Making assessments can be made using technology is helpful.
